Noo Wanguku Opens State-of-the-art Campaign Centre in Nyeri

Nyeri tycoon Thuo Mathenge popularly known as Noo Wanguku has established a state-of-the art campaign centre as he gears up for Nyeri Governor race.

The spacious campaign centre, situated near his Bantu Africa Resort near Kiganjo, includes several meeting rooms, a campaign secretariat and a dining area.

His campaign manager Mr Joseph Gachagua told www.LaikipiaToday.co.ke that the campaign centre was not for Mr Wanguku only but for all aspirants and candidates seeking seat on DCP ticket or any other friendly opposition party.

“Any candidate within Nyeri county who wants to hold a meeting here is welcome to do so,” Mr Gachagua said.

Mr Mathenge who is making his fourth bid for the Nyeri Governor’s seat in next year’s General Election, abandoned The New Democrats (TND) party where he was the national chairman and joined DCP three months ago.

He’ll now wrestle with former Othaya MP Gichuki Mugambi and Kenya’s High Commissioner to India Mr Peter Munyiri for the DCP ticket.

At the main election on August 10, one of the DCP aspirants will have to fight it out with former chairman of Kenya National Highways Authority (KENHA) Eng. Wangai Ndirangu who is also making major inroads.

Noo Wanguku has a head start in the party nominations due to his renowned philanthropic work aimed at supporting household incomes through distribution of day-chicks and seeds as well as his contribution to Nyeri economy.
