Kenya Reform Party Leader Ndiritu Muriithi has jetted back from Malawi and headed to his Rumuruti backyard where he is currently meeting over 500 delegates as the party gears up for the General Election next year.
Sources in the delegates are discussing election preparedness, party recruitment and party primaries ahead of the General Election in August.
Muriithi has been on a high-level pan-african mission with official stops in South Africa and Malawi. While in SA he met leaders of like-minded Pan-African parties, engaged with the Kenyan diaspora leadership in South Africa and led discussions on collaboration with the South African Revenue Service (SARS).
Malawi invited him as an expert on Public Debt Management to share Kenya’s experience and insights.
The Pan-African mission came just days after Muriithi was elected as the party leader at a National Delegates Conference last month.
He has insisted on freedom of Laikipia people and Kenyans in general to elect leaders of their choice as opposed on being bullied into electing crooked politicians hiding in popular parties.
KRP whose motto is: Kuza Kazi, Kuza Viwanda, Linda Nchi, aims to transform Kenya through industrialization to create jobs and higher incomes.
“KRP will drive a manufacturing economy: it will champion manufacturing and production in our wards,” he said.
During the NDC Muriithi said political parties are not a mere convenience nor platforms for stifling democratic choice. They are the crucible in which leaders are identified and developed.
He views political parties as cornerstones of democracy. They are the platform for citizens to synthesis ideas of economic management – taxation, cost of credit, production, manufacturing, how to create jobs and how to sustainably increase incomes and uplift standards of living.
